Margot Douaihy is a writer and editor who divides her time between New Orleans and New York. Currently, she is a contributing editor of Residential Systems magazine, and a writer for HD Living and Installation Europe, covering trends in the systems integration industry. She writes about the creative economy and green innovation for Green Life Smart Life.

Douaihy has been a guest lecturer at Johns Hopkins University, The New School University, and Ramapo College of New Jersey, and was the poet-in-residence at the Montana Arts Refuge in October 2008.

Douaihy received her Bachelors from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters in Writing from Goldsmiths College, University of London. Her writing studio, the QYP Writing Center, was awarded a First Book-Greater New Orleans Grant in 2009.
