An early fascination with psychoacoustics and radio's intimacy sparked Margot's love for technology. Since her undergraduate years at the University of Pittsburgh, she has covered AV technological developments as a reporter, editorial director, and analyst with specialties in audio technology, digital pedagogy strategies, EdTech, LMS integration, H.264/H.265 codecs, net neutrality, and AV over IP. Margot has served as the Editorial Director of AV Technology magazine which won the coveted Best Media Brand (Overall Editorial Excellence) category in the 2018 Jesse H. Neal Awards. She was awarded the Mattera Mentorship Award in 2018 for outstanding stewardship in B2B publishing. She was a judge for the PRSA Excellence in Technology Journalism Awards, named to Collaborate’s “40 Under 40” List of Young Collaboration Innovators, and the AV/IT Summit launch team. She is a frequent speaker and moderator at higher ed technology and AV industry events.
